Project objective
The project's objective is to restore mangrove ecosystems in southern Clarendon along the south coast of Jamaica, to conditions of viable/healthy and optimally functioning coastal forested ecosystems. The interventions are expected to improve the sequestration capacity of these restored areas to store blue carbon (carbon stored in coastal and marine ecosystems) and improve climate change resilience.
