Project objective

The project's objective is to strengthen the institutional framework for supporting the growth of the blue economy in Barbados. In this line, the government seeks to stimulate economic growth through the blue economy and a shift towards economic recovery, diversification, and transformation. A focus on the blue economy offers opportunities for Barbados to diversify its economy into new emerging ocean-based activities and sectors and generate employment and growth while ensuring sustainable use of its ocean resources in the future.
